1. About us
Rux Candles is a trading name of ASTEY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14278194). Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. Email: contact@asteyltd.com.
Our store runs on Shopify, but every sale is made directly with us. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms, our Returns Policy and our Privacy Policy.
2. Orders
You must be 18 or over to place an order. Your order is accepted when we email you to confirm it has been dispatched. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock or a price was shown incorrectly. If we do, we will refund you in full.
Products are for your own use or as gifts. Reselling them requires our written permission.
3. Products
Our candles are decorative and scented, and they can vary slightly in shape, colour and finish. Colours on screen may also look different from the real product. Product details may change, and we may limit order quantities.
4. Candle safety
Please read and follow the safety instructions on every candle. In particular:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep candles away from children, pets, curtains and anything flammable.
- Always burn on a heat-resistant surface.
We are not responsible for any loss or damage caused by not following these instructions or by misusing the product.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are in GBP and delivery costs are shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order.
6. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or events outside our control. Free London delivery applies only where shown at checkout. The items are your responsibility once they are delivered to you.
7. Returns and refunds
Please see our Returns Policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
8. Corporate and bulk orders
Business orders may be agreed by quote or invoice. Prices, payment terms and delivery dates will be confirmed in writing. Business orders cannot be cancelled once production or dispatch has started, unless the goods are faulty.
9. Our liability
We are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for loss that could not have been foreseen, or for business losses such as lost profits.
For business customers, our total liability is limited to the value of the order.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.
10. Website content and reviews
Our logo, brand name, photos and text belong to ASTEY LTD. You must not copy them without our permission.
If you leave a review, it must be honest and based on your own experience. We may use reviews on our website and social media, and we may remove reviews that are offensive or misleading.
11. Use of our website
Don't misuse the site. This includes fraud, scraping, spam, harmful code and trying to get past security measures. We may suspend access to anyone who does.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one shown when you placed it.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
